Pakistan and Türkiye have long-standing political and trade links, and Turkish buyers tend to trust a local address. A Sialkot sports-goods maker or a Faisalabad textile mill that ships to Istanbul distributors can run a Turkish-language site on brand.tr while its main site stays on .com or .pk. We confirm the name is free, file it in your name through a registrar, and take payment in rupees by bank transfer, Raast, JazzCash or Easypaisa, aiming to file on the same working day the money arrives; our price is on /pricing/ or we quote it on WhatsApp.

Eligibility and rules

Who may register: Open on paper to any individual or company. The Internet Domain Names Regulation (Art. 7) lets any natural or legal person apply and sets no citizenship or residency test for .tr, .com.tr, .net.tr and .org.tr. In practice the registrar's form asks an individual for a Turkish ID number or a Turkish-issued foreigner ID number and a company for a tax number (Communiqué Art. 14); we have not confirmed what a Pakistani applicant with neither should enter. The restricted extensions (av.tr, dr.tr, edu.tr, gov.tr, k12.tr, kep.tr, bel.tr, pol.tr, tsk.tr) need Turkish professional or official papers.

• Name part: 2 to 63 characters, letters a-z, digits 0-9 and hyphen only; no hyphen at the start or end, and the 3rd and 4th characters cannot both be hyphens (Regulation Art. 6). Turkish letters such as ç, ğ, ı, ö, ş, ü are outside that set, so they cannot be used.
• Direct .tr names registered first-come first-served must have at least 4 characters before the dot; 2- and 3-character .tr names are only released when the registry announces it (BTK decision 2023/K-BTD/244, Annex 1 Art. 14).
• Term: 1 to 5 years per registration, and the term after a renewal cannot exceed 5 years. Your registrar must warn you by e-mail at least 3 months before expiry (Regulation Art. 8-9; TRABİS FAQ).
• After expiry the name is suspended for 2 months and can still be renewed in that window; otherwise it is released and stays closed to new applications for 1 month (Regulation Art. 9 and 12).
• Registrar change: the registry refuses a move to another registrar within 60 days of first registration or of an earlier move (Communiqué Art. 25). Sale to a third party was barred for the first 3 years after TRABİS went live on 14 September 2022, so until 14 September 2025; transfer by inheritance, merger or with a trade mark was allowed throughout (Regulation Art. 13, Art. 33 and Provisional Art. 2; Communiqué Art. 22). We have not confirmed how sales work in practice since then.
• WHOIS: for an individual, name, address and e-mail are shown only with explicit consent, otherwise an anonymised e-mail is published; company details are published (Communiqué Art. 19). No documents are needed for .tr, .com.tr, .net.tr, .org.tr, .gen.tr, .web.tr, .name.tr, .info.tr, .biz.tr, .tv.tr, .bbs.tr and .tel.tr. The registry-level fee for a first-come first-served .tr registration or renewal was set at 100 TL including VAT in the August 2023 decision (2023/K-BTD/244, Annex 2); fees are revised yearly and registrars set their own prices.
