.co domain registration in Pakistan

.co is Colombia's country domain, but it has been sold worldwide for years as a short, company-style ending. Anyone can register one through an accredited registrar; the registry's rules put no residency condition on it. We register it in your own name, confirm the name is free before we file, and take payment in rupees.

.co is the country-code domain of Colombia. Policy and oversight sit with Colombia's Ministry of Information and Communication Technologies (MinTIC). The appointed operator since October 2025 is Consorcio Equipo PuntoCo, a consortium of Central Comercializadora de Internet S.A.S. (Colombia) and Team Internet Group PLC (United Kingdom), under a ten-year contract. The registry runs on the CentralNic shared registry system; CentralNic Ltd is a Team Internet subsidiary and is IANA's listed technical contact. · minimum term 1 year · updated 2026-10-20

Price and how to order

Loading the current .co price…

Search any name on the availability checker, or go straight to the order form. We confirm availability before registering, you pay in rupees by bank transfer, Raast, JazzCash or Easypaisa, and the domain is registered in your own name.

Who uses .co

  • Startups that could not get the .com
  • Freelancers and small agencies
  • Software and SaaS products
  • Brands wanting a short, memorable name
  • Businesses selling to customers outside Pakistan

A Lahore software house that finds its .com taken can often pick up the same word on .co and keep the brand short. Because the registry sets no residency rule, a Pakistani sole trader, an SECP-registered private limited company or an FBR-registered freelancer can all hold a .co in their own name. We check availability first, file once your bank transfer, Raast, JazzCash or Easypaisa payment lands, and aim to do it the same working day.

Eligibility and rules

Who may register: Open to anyone, anywhere. The registry's Registration Policies contain no nationality or residency condition for second-level .co names; you sign a registrar's registration agreement, give true and current contact details, and keep them up to date.

  • Term: 1 to 5 years at registration. Renewals may extend the name, but never to more than 5 years ahead (Registrar Guide 8.1.1 and 8.1.2).
  • Name format: the part before .co is 1 to 63 characters from A-Z, 0-9 and hyphen, case-insensitive. The registry may reserve or block names at its discretion, and some names are priced as premium at higher wholesale rates, so a short or common word may not be available at the base price. Third-level .com.co, .net.co and .nom.co are open like .co itself; .org.co, .edu.co, .mil.co and .gov.co are restricted to Colombian institutions and are applied for by hand through the registry's registrocolombia.co site with supporting documents.
  • IDN support: the registry publishes IDN tables for Latin script and for Chinese, Danish, Finnish, French, German, Hungarian, Icelandic, Japanese, Korean, Latvian, Lithuanian, Norwegian, Polish, Portuguese, Russian, Spanish and Swedish. Arabic and Urdu are not on the list, so an Urdu-script .co name is not possible.
  • Documents: for an open .co name the registry's policies list no paperwork. The registration needs your name (person or company), postal address, email and phone for the registrant, admin and technical contacts. The details must stay true, current and complete for the whole term, you must cooperate with reasonable verification requests, and the name can be suspended or cancelled if they are wrong.
  • Expiry: a 45-day auto-renew grace period, then a 30-day redemption period, then 5 days pending delete before the name is released. Restoring a deleted name costs extra and the charge is not reversible (Registrar Guide 8.1.4 and 8.1.5).
  • Transfer lock: a new registration cannot be transferred to another registrar for 60 days, and the same 60-day hold applies after any successful transfer. Contact details are opted out of public WHOIS display by default; the registrar decides what, if anything, is shown (Registrar Guide 8.1.6 and 9.5.3).

Questions about .co

Can a Pakistani person or company register a .co domain?

Yes. The registry's rules have no country or residency requirement for second-level .co names. You register through an accredited registrar, and we do that in your own name.

Is .co the same as .com?

No. .co is Colombia's country-code domain, overseen by MinTIC. It is sold worldwide as a short alternative, but it is a separate extension, and owning one does not give you the matching .com.

How long can I register a .co for?

From one to five years. Renewals can only push the expiry date up to five years into the future.

What happens if my .co expires?

The registry allows a 45-day auto-renew grace period, then a 30-day redemption period in which restoring costs extra, then five days pending delete. After that the name is released and anyone can register it.

Do I need a CNIC or company papers for a .co?

The registry lists no documents for an open .co name. You give your name, postal address, email and phone when registering, and they must stay accurate; the registry may ask to verify them. We may ask for ID only to confirm we are putting the right name on the record.

Can I move my .co to another registrar later?

Yes, after the first 60 days. The registry blocks transfers for 60 days after a new registration and for 60 days after each transfer.
