Web hosting in Pakistan: price and how to choose
Web hosting in Pakistan means renting space on a server so your website stays online. On 21 October 2026, one host's Pakistan page showed shared plans from Rs 338 a month, and business, VPS and cloud plans cost more. Compare the stated limits, the renewal price, the server location and the support hours, not just the headline price.
What web hosting is, and how it differs from a domain
Web hosting in Pakistan, or anywhere else, is a rented computer that stores your website files and sends them to visitors. Your domain is only the address. The host is the building.
You need both. You can buy them from different companies, and many people do. We only deal with the address side, so we do not sell hosting.
If the difference still feels fuzzy, read our short guide on our guide “Domain vs hosting: what is the difference?”. If you are new to names, start with our guide “What is a domain name?”.
- Domain: the name people type, like yourname.com.pk
- Hosting: the server that holds your pages, images and database
- Nameservers or DNS records: the link between the two
Types of hosting: shared, WordPress, VPS and cloud
Shared hosting puts many small sites on one server. It is the usual starting point for a blog, a portfolio or a small business page. It usually costs the least, but you share the machine's power with your neighbours.
WordPress hosting is shared or managed hosting set up for WordPress, often with easier updates and caching. A VPS gives you a reserved slice of CPU and memory, but you or your developer must manage it. Cloud hosting spreads a site over several machines and usually bills by use.
Pick the simplest type that fits your traffic today. You can move up later.
- Shared: low cost, limited power, good for small sites
- WordPress: tuned for one platform, fewer manual steps
- VPS: more control and more responsibility
- Cloud: flexible, but bills can vary
Web hosting in Pakistan: price ranges you can see today
Prices change often, so treat these as a snapshot. On 21 October 2026, Middlehost's Pakistan page showed shared plans from Rs 338 per month (its Cheap plan) and from Rs 1,012 per month (its Business plan). For VPS, the page sent buyers to a live checkout instead of showing a price. We quote this as one public example, not a ranking or a recommendation.
That page did not say whether these prices are billed monthly or yearly, or what renewal costs. Many hosts show a low first-term price and a higher price at renewal, so always ask for both numbers before you pay.
For a wider view of costs around a website, see our guide “Domain and Hosting Price in Pakistan: What a Small Website Costs for a Year” and our guide “Website price in Pakistan (2026)”.
- Entry shared plans: a few hundred rupees per month on one public page
- Business shared plans: roughly a thousand rupees per month on the same page
- VPS and cloud: ask for a live quote
What "unlimited web hosting" really means
Unlimited hosting in Pakistan, as elsewhere, almost never means no limits. The word usually covers disk space or bandwidth. The real limits sit in the fair-use terms: CPU, memory, processes running at the same time, and the number of files (inodes).
A guide on the GreenGeeks blog makes the same point. It says unlimited plans are meant for the normal running of a personal or small business site, and that heavy users are usually slowed down rather than switched off, with suspension kept for accounts that hurt other users. Middlehost's Pakistan page also says each server has CPU, RAM, entry process, disk I/O and inode limits.
Before you buy, find the fair-use or acceptable-use page and read it. If a host will not state its limits, take that as a warning.
- Look for inode, CPU and process limits
- Ask what happens on overuse: slowing, errors or suspension
- Check backup and restore terms
Local or foreign host: speed, rupees, support and tax
A server close to your visitors usually loads faster. Some hosts say their setup is tuned for Pakistani networks, but ask which city or country the server is actually in. A foreign data centre can still work well if it has good routing and a CDN.
Payment is the practical difference. Middlehost's Pakistan page lists JazzCash, Easypaisa, NayaPay, bank transfer, cards and PayPal, with prices in rupees. Many foreign hosts expect an international card. Card payments abroad can attract withholding tax. KPMG reported on 15 June 2026 that the Finance Bill 2026 proposed cutting that rate from 5% to 0.5%. We have not confirmed the final enacted rate, so check it with your bank before you pay.
Support hours matter too. A host that answers in Urdu during your working day saves time when the site is down.
- Ask where the server is
- Check which rupee payment methods work
- Check tax or fees on your card
- Check support hours and language
Checklist before you buy hosting
Write down what your site needs before you look at plans. A five-page business site and an online store have very different needs.
Then compare plans on the same points. Do not choose on the price of the first month alone.
- Stated limits: storage, CPU, RAM, processes, inodes
- Renewal price, not only the first-term price
- Monthly or yearly billing
- Server location and uptime reporting
- Backups: how often, and how you restore
- Free or paid SSL, and email included or not
- Refund policy and its time window
- Support channels and hours
- Easy way to move away later
How hosting connects to your domain
Once you have hosting, your host gives you nameservers or an IP address. You enter them where your domain is managed. Changes can take some time to spread across the internet.
For a .pk name, the nameserver steps are in our guide “How to change nameservers on a .pk domain”. If you already have a site elsewhere and want to change hosts, follow our guide “Move your website to new hosting without losing your domain”. Our DNS checker shows what the world currently sees for your name.
If you still need a name, we register new domains in your own name and also run a marketplace for existing ones. See our guide “How to check if a domain name is available (and why "available" is not a promise)” or the marketplace. We do not sell hosting, so you stay free to choose any host.
Common questions
What is the price of web hosting in Pakistan?
It depends on the type. On 21 October 2026, Middlehost's Pakistan page showed shared plans from Rs 338 per month and from Rs 1,012 per month for its Business plan. VPS prices were only given at checkout. Check the billing period and renewal price before you pay.
Is there really unlimited web hosting in Pakistan?
Not in the literal sense. Unlimited usually refers to disk space or bandwidth, while CPU, memory, process and file-count limits still apply. Hosts also have fair-use rules, so read them before buying.
Web hosting kaise kharide?
Pehle decide karein ke site kitni badi hai aur kaunsi type chahiye. Phir 2 ya 3 hosts ke limits, renewal price, server location aur support hours compare karein. Payment ke baad nameservers apne domain par lagayein; steps our guide “How to change nameservers on a .pk domain” par hain.

Can I pay for hosting in rupees?
Some hosts selling in Pakistan accept JazzCash, Easypaisa, bank transfer and rupee pricing. Many foreign hosts need an international card, which may attract withholding tax. Confirm with the host and your bank.

No. You can register a domain first and add hosting later. The name stays yours; you just point it to the host when ready.
