Price and how to order

Search any name on the availability checker, or go straight to the order form. We confirm availability before registering, you pay in rupees by bank transfer, Raast, JazzCash or Easypaisa, and the domain is registered in your own name.

Who uses .online

  • Small shops starting an online store or Instagram business
  • Freelancers and creators who want a clear personal website name
  • Startups that find the .com they want already taken
  • Local businesses that want a name that says 'online' in plain words
  • Event, campaign or side-project sites

Pick .online when you sell or work online and the .com you want is taken. The word is easy to say on a call or in a reel, and nobody needs it explained. For customers inside Pakistan, .pk and .com.pk still feel more local and trusted. Use one of them if buyers look for you by city or expect a Pakistani business. See our guide “.pk vs .com.pk vs .com: which domain should a Pakistani business pick?” and the .pk page. A .com is still the safest default for global reach and email. The downside of .online is that some older buyers know it less well, and a low first-year offer can hide a higher renewal. Check our guide “What a domain costs to renew, and why year two can cost more” and ask us on WhatsApp first. Compare more choices at the list of extensions.

Eligibility and rules

Who may register: Anyone can register a .online name. Normal registration has no residency, company or trademark requirement. Some names are reserved or sold at premium prices, so a name that looks free may cost more.

  • Open to everyone, first come first served. You do not need a local presence.
  • You can register for one to ten years at a time.
  • Some names are premium. Their first-year and renewal prices can be much higher than a standard name, so ask for both before you order.
  • The registry bans spam, phishing, malware and similar abuse. It can suspend or cancel a name that breaks its anti-abuse policy.
  • Standard names often have a low first-year offer and a higher renewal price. Always ask us for the renewal price before you order.
  • We register the name in your own name, so you stay the owner. See our guide “Domain name rules: length, characters, hyphens and what you cannot register” for naming rules.

Questions about .online

What does .online mean?

It is a generic extension. It shows that your business, shop or project lives on the internet. It is not tied to any country.

Is a .online domain good?

It can work well for an online shop, a freelancer or a new project. A short, clear name matters more than the ending. For long-term trust in Pakistan, many owners also keep a .pk or .com.

What is the .online domain price and renewal price?

New .online names often have a low first-year price and a higher price from the second year. Premium names cost more. Our prices are on the price list and many are quoted on WhatsApp. Ask for the renewal price before you pay.

Can I register .online in Pakistan?

Yes. Anyone can register it. We register it in your name, and you pay in rupees by bank transfer, Raast, JazzCash or Easypaisa. Start at the order form or check a name on our guide “How to check if a domain name is available (and why "available" is not a promise)”.

Is .online safe to use?

Yes, for normal use. Like every open extension, some bad sites use it, but the registry bans abuse and can take those names down. Pick a clear name and set up proper email to build trust.

.online or .com, which should I choose?

Choose .com if you can get a short name that fits. Choose .online if the .com is taken and you want a clear, readable ending. See the .com page and our guide “.com vs .net vs .org: which should you pick?”.
