Price and how to order

Search any name on the availability checker, or go straight to the order form. We confirm availability before registering, you pay in rupees by bank transfer, Raast, JazzCash or Easypaisa, and the domain is registered in your own name.

Who uses .app

  • Mobile app and game makers who want a clear home page for their app
  • SaaS and software startups in Pakistan with a global audience
  • Freelance developers who want a portfolio or product site
  • Creators and teams launching a tool, bot or web app
  • Businesses that already own the .com or .pk and want a matching app name

Pick .app when your product is software. A mobile app, web app, SaaS tool or developer project fits it well. Every .app site runs on HTTPS, which suits products that handle logins or payments. Pick .pk or .com.pk when most customers are in Pakistan and you run a local shop, service or school. See the .pk page and the .com.pk page. Pick .com when you want the most familiar address for all kinds of buyers. See the .com page. Cons: many non-technical Pakistanis do not know .app yet, and your site will not load without a certificate. Some registrars run first-year offers, and renewal can cost more. Ask us for both amounts on WhatsApp or check the price list first. Some owners also keep the matching .com.

Eligibility and rules

Who may register: Anyone can register a .app domain. You do not need to live in Pakistan, run a company or own an app. There is no local presence rule. We register the name in your own name, so the owner details you give us must be correct.

  • Open to everyone. No company, app or local presence proof is needed.
  • Every .app website must use HTTPS. The whole extension is on the browser HSTS preload list, so a site without a valid security certificate will not load in modern browsers.
  • You still need a certificate on your site. The extension forces HTTPS but does not give you the certificate. We do not sell SSL, so get it from your hosting or platform. See our guide “Free SSL certificates for your domain explained”.
  • Names use letters, numbers and hyphens, and cannot start or end with a hyphen. A two-letter name must not suggest a link to a government or country registry. See our guide “Domain name rules: length, characters, hyphens and what you cannot register”.
  • Registration is for 1 year or more, up to 10 years in total. Pick the length when you order.
  • Some names are premium. The registry sets a higher yearly fee for them than for a normal .app. We confirm the price before you pay. See our guide “What is a premium domain, and is it worth it?”.
  • Renewal can differ from the first-year price, so always ask for the renewal amount before you order. See our guide “What a domain costs to renew, and why year two can cost more”.

Questions about .app

What does .app domain mean?

It is an extension for apps and software. It tells visitors the site is about an app, a tool or a digital product. It is not limited to mobile apps. Anyone can use it for any lawful purpose.

Is .app domain good?

It suits software, apps and developer projects well. Google's registry runs it, and browsers only open .app sites over secure HTTPS. It is less familiar than .com to ordinary shoppers. If your buyers are local, compare it with the .pk page and the .com page.

What is the .app domain price and renewal price?

Prices change by name and by year. A normal name and a premium name can differ a lot. First-year offers can be lower than renewal. See the price list or message us on WhatsApp for the current first-year and renewal amount, and read our guide “What a domain costs to renew, and why year two can cost more”.

Can I register a .app domain in Pakistan?

Yes. Anyone can. We check availability live and register the name in your own name. You pay in rupees by bank transfer, Raast, JazzCash or Easypaisa. We aim to file the same working day your payment arrives. Start at the order form.

Does a .app website need HTTPS?

Yes. Browsers only open .app sites over HTTPS, so you need a valid security certificate before the site works. We do not sell SSL or hosting. Many hosts and website platforms include a certificate. See our guide “Free SSL certificates for your domain explained” and our guide “Domain vs hosting: what is the difference?”.

What if the .app name I want is taken?

Check other spellings or a different extension on our guide “How to check if a domain name is available (and why "available" is not a promise)”. If someone already owns it, look in our marketplace, where sellers list existing domains and payment is held in escrow. If a name is taken before we file your order, you get a full refund.
