Eligibility and rules

Who may register: Open to any person or company anywhere. There is no local presence or document requirement. Names are sold in general availability on a first come, first served basis, and use must follow the registry's Acceptable Use and Anti-Abuse Policy.

• Radix Technologies Inc. runs the .website registry. IANA lists it as manager, with Tucows as technical contact. The extension has been in the root zone since 30 May 2014, first under DotWebsite Inc., then Radix FZC from 2021, then Radix Technologies Inc. from 2024.
• General registration is open to anyone, first come, first served. The registry policy sets a minimum term of one year.
• You must follow the registry's Acceptable Use and Anti-Abuse Policy. It bans phishing, malware, spam, counterfeit sales, cybersquatting, scams and similar abuse.
• The registry can deny, suspend, cancel, transfer or lock a domain for abuse, for inaccurate contact data, or for legal reasons, so keep your details correct.
• ICANN dispute rules such as UDRP and URS apply, so avoid names that copy someone else's trademark.
• Some names sit in premium price tiers with their own prices for registration, transfer, redemption and renewal. The registry can change tier prices and move names between tiers.
• Certain names are reserved and cannot be registered, including two-character names, country names and labels ICANN requires registries to hold back.
