  • You can register for 1 year at a time and for up to 10 years. Some registrars offer fewer year options.
  • Some short or popular names are premium. They cost more to register and to renew, and the registry can move a name to a different price tier.
  • The registry holds back some names, such as country names and technical labels like www, whois and nic.
