Domain and Hosting Price in Pakistan: What a Small Website Costs for a Year
Domain and hosting price in Pakistan for a small site usually means two bills: a domain, and a shared or WordPress hosting plan. Public Pakistani hosting listings we checked run from about Rs 7,100 to Rs 12,600 a year, and the PKNIC fee for a .pk name is Rs 2,100 per year (billed two years at a time) from 1 August 2026. Check the renewal price of both before you pay.
The two parts of a website bill
Domain and hosting price in Pakistan is easier to understand once you split it in two. The domain is your address, like yourshop.pk. Hosting is the computer that stores your pages and serves them to visitors. They are different products, and often different companies.
You pay for the domain every year or two. You pay for hosting every month or every year. Read our guide “Domain vs hosting: what is the difference?” if the difference is new to you, and our guide “What is a domain name?” for the basics.
We sell domains, not hosting. So on this page we show hosting ranges only so you can plan a budget. We do not recommend any host.
What the domain costs
For a .pk name, PKNIC (the registry) charges Rs 2,100 per year for registrants based in Pakistan from 1 August 2026. It was Rs 1,800 before. PKNIC bills two years at a time, so the first payment covers two years, and you can pay up to ten years ahead.
A registrant outside Pakistan pays USD 15.99 per year to the registry. A .com is different: the wholesale fee at Verisign is USD 10.26, rising to USD 10.97 on 1 November 2026, and registrars add their own margin on top.
Our own rupee prices are on the price list, and many are quoted on WhatsApp. See our guide “How much does a .pk domain cost in Pakistan?” for .pk and the .com page for .com.
- Names directly under .pk need at least four characters.
- PKNIC fixes the registrant name at registration, so make sure it is your name or your business name.
What hosting costs in Pakistan
We looked at public plan listings for Pakistani hosts on a comparison site. They vary a lot. One shows a Windows shared plan with 2 GB disk at Rs 7,130 a year. Another shows a 5 GB shared plan at Rs 12,580 a year. A WordPress plan from a third host is listed at Rs 833 a month.
So a rough yearly range for a small site is Rs 7,100 to Rs 12,600, and the monthly WordPress plan works out near Rs 10,000 a year. These are listing snapshots, not quotes. Prices change, so open the host's own page before you decide.
If a host quotes in US dollars, the rupee amount you pay can move with the exchange rate.
Putting it together for one year
A simple budget has three lines: domain, hosting and, if you want it, business email. Add them up using each company's current page.
As an example of the arithmetic only: a .pk name at the PKNIC fee is Rs 2,100 per year, but the first payment is Rs 4,200 because it covers two years. Add hosting from the listed range and your first outlay lands somewhere around Rs 11,300 to Rs 16,800. Spread over one year of use, it is about Rs 9,200 to Rs 14,700. This leaves out any registrar margin and extras.
A .com adds the registrar's price instead. See our guide “.pk vs .com.pk vs .com: which domain should a Pakistani business pick?” to choose the extension, and our guide “How to set up business email on your own domain” if you need email at your own address.
- Domain: check the price list or ask us on WhatsApp.
- Hosting: take the price from the host's own page.
- Extras: SSL, backups and email can be separate lines.
Free domain bundles and renewal jumps
Many international hosts advertise a free domain with a hosting plan. One large host's help page says its WordPress plans include a free domain for the first year. Free usually means first year only, and the domain then renews at the normal price.
Hosting plans can also renew higher once an introductory price ends. Renewal figures change often, so we do not quote them here. Look for the renewal line on the host's own pricing page.
Before buying, find the renewal price of both the domain and the plan. Also ask whose name goes on the domain. Read our guide “What a domain costs to renew, and why year two can cost more” for how renewals work.
What to check before you buy
A low first-year price tells you little. Look at the second-year price, the contract length and the cancellation terms.
Make sure the domain is registered in your own name, not the host's. If you ever move host, you should be able to take the domain with you. See the transfer page and our guide “What is a domain auth code (EPP code)?”.
Beware of sellers who ask for payment into a personal account with no receipt. Our guide “Common domain scams in Pakistan and how to avoid them” lists the usual traps.
- Renewal price of domain and hosting
- Registrant name on the domain
- Disk, bandwidth and number of sites
- Backups and SSL included or extra
- Payment methods and refund terms
How we fit in
We are a small Pakistani company. We run a marketplace where owners sell existing domains, with payment held in escrow (the marketplace). We also register new domains in your own name through PKNIC or a registrar, after checking availability live (the order form).
You pay in rupees by bank transfer, Raast, JazzCash or Easypaisa (our guide “How to buy a domain in Pakistan with JazzCash, Easypaisa, Raast or bank transfer”). Sales happen on WhatsApp. We aim to file the same working day payment arrives. Unpaid orders cancel after 48 hours, and you get a full refund if a name is taken before we file.
We do not sell hosting, PKNIC prepaid cards or Google Workspace, and we are not PKNIC. Buy the domain from us, point it to the host you choose, then use the DNS checker to confirm the change.
For the domain part on its own, see our guide “Domain price in Pakistan (2026): what you really pay”.
Common questions
What is the 1 year domain and hosting price in Pakistan?
For a small site, expect the domain fee plus a shared hosting plan. Listings we checked put hosting at roughly Rs 7,100 to Rs 12,600 a year, and a .pk name costs Rs 2,100 per year at PKNIC, billed two years at a time. Confirm current prices on each company's page.
What is the WordPress domain and hosting price in Pakistan?
One public listing shows a Pakistani WordPress plan at Rs 833 a month, near Rs 10,000 a year. Add the domain on top. Prices change, so check the host's own page.
Is a free domain with hosting really free?
Usually only for the first year. After that the domain renews at the normal price, and the plan may renew higher too. Ask for both renewal prices before paying.
Where can I find cheap domain and hosting in Pakistan?
Compare the first-year and renewal prices, not just the headline. Buy the domain separately in your own name if you want freedom to change host later. We sell domains only; see the price list.
Can I buy domain and hosting in Pakistan from you?
We sell domains, not hosting. You can register your domain with us at the order form and then point it to any host using the host's nameserver or DNS details.
Do I need to pay hosting every month?
That depends on the host. Some bill monthly, others yearly. Compare the yearly total and check the cancellation and refund terms.
Why is the .pk price higher now?
PKNIC raised the fee for Pakistan-based registrants from Rs 1,800 to Rs 2,100 per year from 1 August 2026. See our guide “How much does a .pk domain cost in Pakistan?”.
