Eligibility and rules

Who may register: Anyone can register a .store name. The registry sets no rule on where you live or what kind of business you run. Some names are reserved, and some sit in higher price tiers set by the registry.

• Open to everyone worldwide. No local presence is needed.
• Names are first come, first served. While someone holds a name, nobody else can register it.
• Some names are premium. The registry sets their price, and it can change the renewal price too, so a premium name can cost more every year, not just in year one.
• Terms usually run from 1 year up to 10 years. We confirm the exact term live when we check your name.
• New registrations are often sold at a low first-year price. Renewal is often higher, so check the renewal price before you order.
• A new domain cannot move to another registrar for its first 60 days. Changing the owner's name or email can also start a 60-day transfer lock at some registrars.
