Choosing a domain for an online store in Pakistan
Pick a short name that customers can spell after hearing it once, then register it in your own name. Use .pk or .com.pk if your shoppers are mainly in Pakistan, and .com if you also sell abroad. The same name will appear on your email and WhatsApp profile, so choose carefully.
Why the domain matters to cash-on-delivery shoppers
If customers pay when the parcel arrives, they still want to know who they are ordering from. A domain that matches your shop name, Instagram page and WhatsApp number shows a consistent business.
A messy name works against you. Long names, extra hyphens, random numbers and odd spellings look careless. Customers may also mistype them and land on someone else's site.

Moving from Daraz to your own site
On a marketplace, the platform holds the customer relationship. On your own site, you keep your customers' details and repeat orders. You do not have to choose one: you can keep your marketplace listings and add a store of your own.

Email and WhatsApp on your own domain
An address like orders@yourshop.pk looks more professional than a free webmail address. It also stays with the business if staff change.
Use the same brand name on your WhatsApp Business profile and website, and add the website address to the profile. Email and website are set up separately, as your host or email provider explains.
Registering .pk and .com.pk the right way
For .pk and .com.pk, PKNIC fixes the registrant name at registration. Enter the correct person or business name from the start. If a friend or developer registers it under their name, you may not own it in practice.
