How to buy a domain in Pakistan with JazzCash, Easypaisa, Raast or bank transfer

You can buy a domain in Pakistan without a card by paying a local seller in rupees through JazzCash, Easypaisa, Raast or bank transfer, then sending the transaction reference so the seller can confirm it by hand and file the registration in your name. At SastiDomains we check the name is available before you pay, take payment in PKR and aim to file with PKNIC or a registrar on the same working day the money arrives. If the name is taken before we file, we refund you in full; orders that are not paid within 48 hours are cancelled.

Why many registrars want a card

Many online registrars expect you to pay by card or PayPal. Even PKNIC, which runs the .pk registry, lists only three ways to pay: a credit card, a pre-paid card bought from its resellers, or a cheque or bank draft posted to its office in Lahore. It does not take cash.

For a freelancer in Faisalabad or a shop owner in Hyderabad that is awkward. Many people have a JazzCash or Easypaisa wallet and a bank account, but no card that works online, or one with a tight limit. The buyer has rupees in a wallet; the registry wants a card or a cheque. Local sellers fill that gap.

How Pakistani buyers pay locally

In practice you pay a Pakistani seller in rupees, and the seller pays the registry or registrar for you. We accept the four methods below. The amount is whatever /pricing/ shows for the extension you want; where no price is listed yet, we quote it on WhatsApp before you send anything. Keep the transaction ID from your app.

  • Bank transfer from any Pakistani bank account, through your bank's app or at a branch.
  • Raast, the State Bank's real-time payment system. SBP's 2022 instructions bar banks from charging customers for Raast transfers, and you can send to an IBAN or to a mobile number registered as a Raast ID.
  • JazzCash wallet, handy for smaller amounts and for people without a bank account. Wallets have transaction limits that depend on your account level, so check your app first.
  • Easypaisa wallet, with the same point about limits.

How manual payment confirmation works

There is no card gateway in this flow, so a person confirms your payment. You place the order at /order/ and get an order number. We confirm availability and the price on WhatsApp, then send payment details. You pay and send us the transaction reference or a screenshot. We match it against our account, mark the order paid and file the registration.

We aim to file on the same working day the money arrives, and the registry sets the final timing. A payment that lands late on a Friday or during the Eid holidays is filed on the next working day. If an order is not paid within 48 hours it is cancelled automatically; you can order again if the name is still free.

For .pk and .com.pk names PKNIC bills in two-year blocks, so the shortest term is two years. For .com and similar names we file through a registrar as part of the same order.

What to check before paying any seller

Pay nobody, including us, until four things are clear in writing. A seller who will not put them in a message is telling you something.

  • Registrant name: the name on the registry record must be yours or your company's, exactly as on your CNIC or SECP certificate, not the seller's. For .pk names PKNIC fixes the registrant name at registration and keeps the record locked; correcting it later means posting original signed documents to PKNIC in Lahore. Get it right the first time.
  • Order number: something you can quote later if you need to chase the order.
  • Lost-name refund: what happens if someone else registers the name between your payment and the filing. You want a full refund, stated before you pay.
  • Renewal price and date: so the next renewal does not surprise you. Registry fees do change. PKNIC raised its .pk fee on 1 August 2026, and Verisign's .com fee goes up on 1 November 2026.

If the name is taken or you do not pay

We check availability before you pay, but a name can still be registered by someone else in the gap between your payment and our filing. If that happens we refund what you paid us in full, in rupees. You can then pick another name and place a new order.

An order that is not paid within 48 hours is cancelled, so we do not hold a name while you decide. Once a name is filed with you as registrant, the registry fee is paid and the term has started. Check the spelling, the extension and the registrant name before you send money.

What a domain costs at the registry level

Knowing the wholesale number helps you judge a quote. PKNIC charges Rs 2,100 per year for registrants based in Pakistan, up from Rs 1,800 after a Rs 300 rise on 1 August 2026, and $15.99 per year for registrants or registrars outside Pakistan. It charges for two years at a time and accepts payment for up to ten years. For .com, Verisign's wholesale registry fee is $10.26 per year, rising to $10.97 from 1 November 2026, before the registrar adds its own charges.

Any rupee price you are quoted sits on top of these, along with currency conversion on dollar fees and the seller's time. Our own prices are on /pricing/ so there is one place to keep them up to date. For name ideas try /ideas/, and to check availability use /domains/.

Common questions

Can I buy a .com.pk with JazzCash?

Yes. You pay us in rupees from your JazzCash wallet, send the transaction ID, and we file the registration with PKNIC in your name. PKNIC does not list mobile wallets among its payment methods, so a local seller handles that step.

Whose name goes on the domain?

Yours, or your registered business's, exactly as you write it on the order. For .pk names PKNIC fixes the registrant name at registration, so check the spelling against your CNIC or SECP certificate before you pay.

How long until the domain is registered?

We aim to file on the same working day your payment arrives, and the registry sets the final timing. Raast transfers are meant to reach us within seconds; a payment sent on a holiday is filed on the next working day.

What if the name is taken before you file?

We check availability before you pay, but a name can go in the gap. If that happens we refund the full amount in rupees, and you are free to order a different name.

What if I place an order and do not pay?

The order is cancelled automatically after 48 hours and nothing is filed. You can order again if the name is still free.

Is SastiDomains a registrar?

No. We are a small Pakistani company that registers names in your name through PKNIC or a registrar, and we are not affiliated with PKNIC or any registry. If you already own a .pk elsewhere and want us to manage it, see /pk-domain-transfer/.
