Domain registration in Islamabad is an online job

Domain registration in Islamabad does not need a shop visit. A domain is recorded with a registry, and every step happens on the internet. You can do it from F-7, G-11, Bahria Town or anywhere else.

We are SastiDomains, a small Pakistani company. We work online and have no office in Islamabad. We are also not PKNIC, the .pk registry. PKNIC's only office is in Lahore, so even the registry has no counter in the capital.

We do two things. We run a marketplace where owners sell existing domains, with payment held in escrow. We also run a registration service that checks availability live and registers new names in the customer's own name. We do not sell hosting, website design or SSL.

What Islamabad businesses use domains for

Islamabad is the federal capital, and its businesses range widely. Think of consultancies, NGOs, software firms, freelancers, property dealers, schools, clinics, small shops and home-based sellers.

Each of these gains from a proper domain. A software house needs one for company email. A clinic or school needs a name parents can remember. A property dealer needs a site to show listings. A freelancer with foreign clients wants an address that looks serious.

.pk, .com.pk or .com for an Islamabad business

Pick the ending by who your customers are. A .pk name tells people you are a Pakistani business. It suits shops, clinics, schools and service firms that sell inside the country. A .com.pk name sits in the commercial section of the same registry and suits companies in the same way.

A .com is better known worldwide. It makes sense if you serve clients abroad, export, or plan to grow beyond Pakistan. It is run by a different registry, Verisign, which sets the wholesale fee for .com names.

City-name domains: what we found on 21 October 2026

Many Islamabad owners want the city in the name. On 21 October 2026 we looked up a set of common "islamabad + trade" names in the PKNIC WHOIS. Anyone can register a name at any time, so these results can change.

Already taken on that date: islamabadproperties.pk, islamabadrentacar.pk and islamabaddentist.pk. The .com.pk name islamabadmovers.com.pk was also taken.

Not registered on that date: islamabadmotors.pk, islamabadclinic.pk and islamabadjobs.pk. The last one had been registered before and later lapsed, which shows that names do come back.

Steps to register from Islamabad

The steps are short, and you can do them from your phone.

• Search your name on the domain search to see whether it is free right now.
• Place your order on the order form with your details.
• Pay in rupees by bank transfer, Raast, JazzCash or Easypaisa. Sales questions are answered on WhatsApp.
• We aim to file the same working day the payment arrives. An unpaid order cancels after 48 hours.
• If the name is taken before we file, you get a full refund.

Registrant name rules and what PKNIC charges

The registrant is the legal owner of the domain. We register it in your own name, not ours. PKNIC fixes the registrant name at registration, so spell it exactly as you want it, whether that is your personal name or your company name. Names directly under .pk need at least four characters. For Pakistan-based registrants, PKNIC charges Rs 2,100 per year from 1 August 2026, up from Rs 1,800. It bills two years at a time and lets you pay for up to ten years. For registrants outside Pakistan the fee is USD 15.99 per year.

Rawalpindi, the twin city

Islamabad and Rawalpindi work as one market in daily life. Many people live in one city and work in the other. That is why people search for domain registration in Rawalpindi too.

The process is the same. A Rawalpindi shop, workshop or clinic can register a .pk or .com.pk name online, with no visit needed. Nothing in the registry depends on the city where you live.

If your customers come from both cities, think about a name that does not tie you to one of them. A brand-style name works better than islamabad-something or rawalpindi-something, and it stays right if you open a branch elsewhere. Working in other cities?
