Domain registration in Lahore starts online, not at an office

Domain registration in Lahore does not need a visit anywhere. The whole process runs on the internet, whether your shop is in Gulberg, Model Town or Johar Town.

We should be clear about who we are. SastiDomains is a small Pakistani company. We work online and have no office in Lahore. We are also not PKNIC. PKNIC is the registry for .pk names, and its only office is in Lahore, at 435 Tariq Block, Garden Town. We are a separate company.

What we do is check availability live and register new domains in the customer's own name, through PKNIC or an accredited registrar. What kinds of Lahore businesses need a domain

Lahore is a large commercial city. Its business life includes textiles and garments, food and bakeries, real estate and construction, education and tutoring, clinics, trading in the old markets, media and software work, and a busy events and wedding trade.

Almost all of these gain from a domain of their own. A clinic wants patients to find it and trust it. A tutor wants a link to put on a poster. A builder wants a page that shows past projects. A bakery wants an address that is easy to say over the phone.

.pk, .com.pk or .com for a Lahore business

The right extension depends on who your customers are.

A .pk name tells people you are a Pakistani business. It suits shops, clinics, schools and service companies that sell mainly inside the country. A .com.pk name carries the same local signal and is sometimes still free when the matching .pk is gone. A .com suits a business that expects customers abroad, such as an exporter or a software team.

Some owners register the .pk and also keep a .com for the same name, so nobody else can use it. Names directly under .pk need at least four characters.

We checked 20 Lahore names with the registry

On 21 October 2026 we checked 20 common names made of "lahore" plus a trade, against the registry. These .pk names were already taken: lahoreproperties.pk, lahoremotors.pk, lahoretutors.pk, lahoremovers.pk, lahoreevents.pk, lahoremart.pk and lahorehomes.pk.

These .com.pk names were also taken: lahoresolar.com.pk, lahoremovers.com.pk and lahorerentacar.com.pk.

Examples that were still free on that date: lahoreproperties.com.pk, lahoreclinic.pk, lahoresalon.pk, lahorebuilders.pk, lahorejobs.pk, lahorebakery.pk, lahoredentist.pk and lahoremarble.pk.

This is a snapshot, not a promise. Any name can be registered by anyone at any time, so a name that was free when we checked may be gone today. Check live at the domain search.

What the Lahore results tell you

Seven of the .pk names in our list were taken. The pattern is simple: city plus a common trade tends to be taken early, because many people think of the same combination.

If your first choice is gone, you have three sensible options. First, try the .com.pk version, which is sometimes free when the .pk is not, as the lahoreproperties.com.pk example shows. Second, add a detail that makes the name yours, such as a street, a market or a family name. Third, pick a brand name that does not depend on the city at all.

A brand name also helps if you grow beyond Lahore later. A name tied to one city can feel limiting once you open a branch elsewhere.

Steps to register from Lahore

The steps are the same from any city.

• Search your name at the domain search to see live availability.
• Place your order at the order form and give the full name of the registrant.
• Pay in rupees by bank transfer, Raast, JazzCash or Easypaisa. See our guide “How to buy a domain in Pakistan with JazzCash, Easypaisa, Raast or bank transfer”.
• We aim to file the same working day the payment arrives. Sales are handled on WhatsApp.
• Unpaid orders cancel after 48 hours. If a name is taken before we file, you get a full refund.

Registrant name and cost: read this before you pay

PKNIC fixes the registrant name at registration. So decide carefully whose name goes on the domain. For a business, use the legal owner of the business, not a friend or a web developer. Changing it later is not simple. Read our guide “How to change the owner of a .pk domain” before you decide.

PKNIC charges Rs 2,100 per year for registrants based in Pakistan from 1 August 2026, up from Rs 1,800. It bills two years at a time, and you can pay up to ten years ahead. Registrants outside Pakistan pay USD 15.99 per year. Our own prices are listed at the price list, and many are quoted on WhatsApp.
