Shopify Store in Pakistan: Price, Payments and Domain
A Shopify store in Pakistan costs from USD 25 a month on the Basic plan, or USD 19 a month when billed yearly, according to shopify.com/pricing on 25 October 2026. You pay in dollars, usually by international card, and Shopify Payments is not listed for Pakistan, so you need a third-party payment provider. Connect your own domain so customers see your brand, not a myshopify address.
What a Shopify store in Pakistan costs
A Shopify store in Pakistan is billed in US dollars. On 25 October 2026, shopify.com/pricing showed Basic at USD 25 a month, or USD 19 a month paid yearly. Grow was USD 65 a month, or USD 49 paid yearly. Advanced was USD 399 a month, or USD 299 paid yearly. Plus starts at USD 2,300 a month.
The same page showed a trial offer: a 3-day trial, then USD 1 a month for 3 months, then the standard plan price. Prices and offers change, so check the page before you pay.
These figures are the plan fee only. Apps, a theme, a domain, payment fees and design work cost extra. We are not Shopify, and we do not sell Shopify plans.
Paying Shopify from Pakistan and the card tax
Shopify bills by card. For most owners that means a Pakistani debit or credit card enabled for international use. Ask your bank to switch that on first.
Card payments to a foreign company can attract advance tax under section 236Y of the Income Tax Ordinance. Banks collect it when the money goes abroad. A news report from February 2026 gave the rate as 5 percent for people on the Active Taxpayers List and 10 percent for everyone else. One tax website says the Finance Act 2026 removed this section. We could not confirm that from FBR, and we are not a tax adviser.
Check your bank's current charges and the latest FBR notice before you subscribe. Add any tax and bank fees to your monthly budget so the final cost holds no surprise.
Payment gateways for a Pakistani Shopify store
Shopify Payments is the built-in card system. Pakistan is not among the 41 countries listed on Shopify's supported countries help page. Shopify says stores in unlisted countries need a third-party payment provider.
Shopify also keeps a page for Pakistan at shopify.com/payment-gateways/pakistan. When we opened it on 25 October 2026, it named no gateways for Pakistan, so we will not list any. Open that page yourself, because the list can change.
Before you choose a provider, ask it three things. Does it accept a business based in Pakistan? In which currency does it pay out? How long does onboarding take? Do not promise customers a card checkout until it works in a test order.
Cash on delivery and local payments
Many Pakistani shoppers prefer to pay when the parcel arrives. That is cash on delivery, or COD. Shopify's help page on manual payment methods covers it. In your Shopify admin, open Settings, then Payments. In the payment providers area, pick the suggested COD method, add the instructions your customers should see, and activate it. You can also create a custom manual method for bank transfer with your own name and instructions.
COD brings its own risks. Some orders get refused at the door. Courier cash reaches you days later. Keep a record of each order and confirm it by WhatsApp before dispatch.
If you want customers to pay by bank transfer, Raast, JazzCash or Easypaisa, a manual payment method lets you show your account details at checkout. The customer then pays outside Shopify and you mark the order as paid. Do not assume an app supports a local wallet until you have seen it working in a test order.
Connect your own domain to Shopify
Every Shopify store starts with an address on Shopify's own name. A shop with its own domain looks more trustworthy and is easier to remember. Read our guide “Choosing a domain for an online store in Pakistan” for how to pick a name, and the .shop page or the .store page if you want a shop-style extension.
You can register the domain with us, in your own name, and point it to your store. The steps are on our guide “How to connect your domain to Shopify”, and the Pakistan-specific notes are on our guide “Shopify domain in Pakistan: buy through Shopify or connect your own?”. Our .com is Rs 2,199 for the first year, and other prices are on the price list.
Understand DNS first if the words are new. our guide “DNS records explained: A, CNAME, MX and TXT” explains A records and CNAME records in plain English. You pay us in rupees by bank transfer, Raast, JazzCash or Easypaisa.
Shopify or WordPress with WooCommerce
Shopify is a hosted service. Shopify runs the servers, security updates and checkout for you. You pay a monthly dollar fee and accept its rules. Setup is quick for a small catalogue.
WordPress with WooCommerce is software you host yourself. The monthly cost can be lower in rupees, and you control more. You also handle updates, backups and plugins. See our guide “WordPress website in Pakistan: what it costs and what you need” and our guide “How to point your domain to WordPress hosting”.
The big Pakistan question is payment. A dollar plan needs an international card, and the gateway list is limited. A WooCommerce store can often use local options, depending on the plugin. Decide by your payment method, your skills and your budget, not by hype. For hosting basics see our guide “Web hosting in Pakistan: price and how to choose” and our guide “Domain vs hosting: what is the difference?”.
