WordPress website in Pakistan: what it costs and what you need
A WordPress website in Pakistan needs a domain name, hosting, a theme and, if you want drag-and-drop editing, a page builder such as Elementor. The WordPress software itself carries no licence fee, so your costs are the domain, hosting, any paid builder or plugins, and ongoing updates. If you want it built for you, our Elementor Pro website packages start at Rs 11,999 for a landing page.
WordPress.org and WordPress.com are not the same
People say WordPress for two different things. WordPress.org is the open source software. You download it, put it on your own hosting and control everything. The WordPress.org about page says it is open source and licensed under the GPL (version 2 or later).
WordPress.com is a hosted service. The company runs the servers for you and you pay a plan. When we checked the WordPress.com pricing page on 25 October 2026, the yearly-billed plans were Personal at US$4 a month, Premium at US$8, Business at US$25 and Commerce at US$45. Each is billed every 12 months, excluding taxes. The page also lists a US$0 entry plan that uses a wordpress.com subdomain, with no custom domain and no plugin installs.
Plans change often, so read the live page before you decide. For most Pakistani businesses that want their own brand name and full control, self-hosted WordPress is the usual route.
What a self-hosted WordPress site needs
A self-hosted site has four basic parts. Each one is bought or set up separately.
Keep these parts in your own name where you can. That way you can move later without asking anyone.
- A domain name, such as yourbrand.com or yourbrand.pk. See our guide “What is a domain name?” and our guide “Domain vs hosting: what is the difference?”.
- Hosting, which is the server that stores your site. See our guide “Web hosting in Pakistan: price and how to choose”.
- A theme, which sets the basic look of the pages.
- A page builder, if you want to design pages visually instead of writing code.
Where Elementor fits in
Elementor is a page builder plugin for WordPress. You drag blocks onto the page instead of coding. Elementor sells a Pro version on yearly plans, split by how many sites you can use it on.
On 25 October 2026 the elementor.com pricing page listed the plans Essential (1 site), Advanced Solo (1 site), Advanced (3 sites) and Expert (25 sites). Prices are in US dollars and change from time to time, so check the live page for the current yearly amounts. The Elementor FAQ says these plans do not include hosting; Elementor sells hosting as a separate product. Plan to buy hosting on its own.
If you only need one business site, a one-site plan is enough. Agencies and freelancers who build many sites need the larger tiers.
Ongoing costs and updates
A WordPress site is not a one-time purchase. Some costs repeat every year, and some work repeats every month.
Domain renewal is the first. Our .com is Rs 2,199 for the first year, and renewal prices are on the price list and our guide “What a domain costs to renew, and why year two can cost more”. A .pk domain from PKNIC is Rs 2,100 per year for Pakistan-based registrants from 1 August 2026, billed two years at a time.
Hosting renews on its own cycle. A paid builder or plugin licence renews yearly.
Then there is maintenance. WordPress core, your theme and every plugin release updates. Old versions can leave security holes. Plan to apply updates, keep backups and test that your forms still work. Business email on your own domain is another small cost; see our guide “How to set up business email on your own domain”.
When WordPress is the wrong choice
WordPress suits business sites, blogs and portfolios. It is not right for every job.
If you only want to sell products with a ready checkout and no maintenance, a hosted store platform may be easier. See our guide “Shopify Store in Pakistan: Price, Payments and Domain” and our guide “Online store in Pakistan: how to start one”. If you need a very custom web app with logins and complex logic, custom code is usually cleaner. If nobody on your team will ever apply updates, a self-hosted site becomes a risk.
A single page that only shows your name and WhatsApp number may not need WordPress at all. In that case a short landing page is enough. Choose the tool for the job, not the name you heard most.

You pay in rupees by bank transfer, Raast, JazzCash or Easypaisa. Sales and support run on WhatsApp. To connect an existing domain, read our guide “How to point your domain to WordPress hosting”.
Common questions
How much does a WordPress website cost in Pakistan?
The WordPress software has no licence fee, so the cost is the domain, hosting, any paid theme or builder, and the work of building it. If you hire us, our Elementor Pro packages are Rs 11,999 (landing page), Rs 19,999 (3 pages) and Rs 24,999 (5 pages). See the website packages for what each includes. Domain and hosting renewals are extra after the first year.
What is the WordPress website price in Pakistan if I use WordPress.com?
WordPress.com is a hosted service billed in US dollars. On 25 October 2026 its pricing page showed yearly-billed plans of US$4 (Personal), US$8 (Premium), US$25 (Business) and US$45 (Commerce) per month, billed every 12 months and excluding taxes. Check wordpress.com/pricing for the current figures and for how the amounts convert to rupees at your bank.
What is the WordPress domain and hosting price in Pakistan?
Our .com is Rs 2,199 for the first year. A .pk domain from PKNIC is Rs 2,100 per year for Pakistan-based registrants from 1 August 2026, billed two years at a time. Our Rs 3,000 starter bundle includes a .com, 1 year of Hostinger hosting and 1 business email. Renewal and other prices are on the price list.
Do I need Elementor to make a WordPress website in Pakistan?
No. WordPress works with its own editor and many themes. Elementor is an optional page builder that lets you design pages by dragging blocks. It has a Pro version on yearly plans for 1, 3 or 25 sites, so check elementor.com/pricing for current prices. We build our website packages with Elementor Pro.
How do I find a WordPress developer in Pakistan?
Ask to see live sites they built, confirm who will own the domain and hosting account, and agree in writing what updates and support are included. We are one option. We build Elementor Pro sites online, with sales and support on WhatsApp. See the website packages for our packages.
What is the difference between WordPress.org and WordPress.com?
WordPress.org is the open source software you install on your own hosting, with full control. WordPress.com is a hosted service where the company runs the servers and you pay a plan. Self-hosted WordPress needs a domain, hosting and your own upkeep. WordPress.com handles the hosting side for you.
Does a WordPress site need updates after launch?
Yes. WordPress core, your theme and plugins release updates, and old versions can leave security gaps. Plan to update regularly, keep backups and test your contact forms. Renew your domain and hosting on time, too.
Can I connect my existing domain to a WordPress website?
Yes. You point the domain to your hosting using nameservers or DNS records, then set up WordPress on that hosting. Our guide at our guide “How to point your domain to WordPress hosting” walks through the steps. Our .pk and .com domains are registered in your own name.
When should I not use WordPress?
Avoid it if nobody will handle updates, if you only need a one-page contact site, or if you want a ready online store with minimal upkeep. A hosted store platform or a simple landing page may fit better. See our guide “Shopify Store in Pakistan: Price, Payments and Domain” for the store option.
